Recycled, Balanced Plant Food & Drain Safe

Nutri Ice™

The successor to our very successful Enviro Ice™ gel pack is now more sustainable than ever.

Features of Nutri Ice™

  • Nutri Ice™ is designed to reduce greenhouse gases emissions through better end-user disposal options.
  • Available in sizes ranging from 12 to 80 ounces, ambient or frozen.
  • Reusable
  • Drain and septic safe
  • Have a eutectic point of 32 F

By our estimates, garbage trucks transporting the weight of one pallet’s worth of gel packs to the landfill generate about 56 lbs. of CO2 emissions.

Nutri Ice™ is designed to maximize the chances of diverting the gel from landfills thanks to two end user experience enhancements:

  1. The gel can be recycled as plant food with a balanced, gentle fertilizer profile that does not involve dilution. The NPK of 0.01-0.01-0.01 brings Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium to plants in a dosage comparable to direct use fertilizers such as Miracle-Gro© Pour & Feed©
  2. The gel can also be disposed of into the kitchen drain or the toilet bowl without risk of clogs or damage to waterways and septic systems.

Moreover, Nutri-Ice™ is the first gel pack made from 30% recycled plastic, and it is also recyclable like any other plastic bag.

If your company goals includes reducing greenhouse gases emissions or simply to offer the best consumer experience, choose Nutri Ice™. Download our product data and safety data sheets for details, or order Nutri Ice™ packs today.

What Are The Benefits Of Nutri Ice™?

Benefits of Nutri Ice™ include:

  • Sustainable: By incentivizing end users to reuse the gel as plant food, or at least dispose of it into the kitchen sink, your company can mitigate the 56lbs of CO2 emissions per pallet generated by the transport of the weight of the gel to the landfill. Moreover, Nutri Ice™ is the first gel pack to use a pouch made of 30% recycled plastic.
  • Drain-safe: During disposal, users can pour the water-based gel directly down the drain without impacting PVC pipes or septic systems. They can then recycle the filmlike any other plastic bag.
  • Puncture-resistant: The film is made from a strong, puncture-resistant #4 recyclable plastic. The durable exterior promotes longevity and decreases leakage risk to guard products against moisture.
  • Septic-safe: The specially formulated gel in Nutri Ice™ will not cause clogs or degrade septic systems. Users can safely and conveniently dispose of the gel by flushing the gel down the toilet or pouring it down a sink or floor drain.
  • Reusable: With their nontoxic gel and puncture-resistant, easy-to-clean pouch, Nutri Ice™ packs allow virtually endless reuses by end users or through a send-back program.
  • Reliable: Nutri Ice™ is backed by over 70 years of industry experience. We design and manufacture all of our gel packs to provide superior performance and temperature control you can trust.

How Can You Order Nutri Ice™?

How does One Dispose of Nutri Ice™?

Users have three options for Nutri Ice™ disposal:

  • Use the gel as plant fertilizer: Users can pour Nutri Ice™ directly onto the plants soil or grass.
  • Dispose of the gel and recycle the pouch: Users can cut the pouch corner and pour the gel down a drain. They can then rinse the pouch and recycle it with their plastic bags.
  • Toss the whole gel pack in the garbage: Customers or employees can also dispose of gel packs by tossing them in a waste bin.

How Can You Use Nutri Ice™ As Plant Food?

With and NPK of 0.01-0.01-0.01, Nutri Ice™ can be poured directly onto the soil of plants or grass without dilution. Water normally to help dissolve the gel over time.

Where Is the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) or Material Safety Data Sheet for Nutri Ice™?

You can download the Nutri Ice™ SDS sheet here.

What Is the Minimum Order Quantity for Nutri Ice™?

We require a minimum order of four pallets.

What Is Nutri Ice™'s Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK) Ratio?

The NPK of Nutri Ice™ is 0.01-0.01-0.01. It takes around 10,000 pounds of regular Nutri Ice™ product to apply 1 pound of Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium to the soil.

What are the directions for use of the Nutri Ice™ as plant food?

Indoor flowerpots

We recommend application in the soil every two weeks:

  • 3 oz. of Nutri Ice™ gel for small (less than 5″ diameter) flowerpots
  • 10 oz. for medium (about 8″ diameter) flowerpots
  • 20 oz. for large (more than 12″ diameter) flowerpots

Vegetable gardens

Though the NPK of Nutri Ice™ is a better fit for indoor flowerpots, it is possible to use it on vegetable gardens with the following dosage:

  • Spread the content of half an 80 oz. Nutri Ice™ gel pack per sq.ft of garden soil every 3 weeks during the growing season.

For optimal results on vegetable gardens, specialized fertilizers such as “Miracle-Gro® Shake ‘N Feed Tomato, Fruit & Vegetable Plant Food” are a better fit.
